Swampscott High School has an opening for an ELL teacher with experience teaching English Language Learners at the high school level.  We are interested in candidates with enthusiasm and a willingness to connect with students.  

Responsibilities include:

• Provide targeted English Language instruction to a diverse group of English learners.
• Work as a point person on ELL student’s educational team
• Determine eligibility of new students for ELL program
• Monitor progress of former ELL students
• Work collaboratively with grade level content and special education teachers.
• Attend parent-teacher, IEP and 504 meetings with relevant data and information
• Administer WIDA ACCESS test annually and WIDA Screener throughout the year
• Maintain and update ELL files to comply with DESE regulations

Requirements:

• Master’s degree preferred
• Massachusetts teaching license for secondary level ELL 
• 2 years teaching experience
• Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA for  United States required
