ELL Tutor (1 opening)

Under the supervision of a certified ELL teacher, the tutor will work daily with English learner students of different linguistic backgrounds in grades K-4 to develop English language and academic skills.  The ELL tutor will implement appropriate record keeping for all students in the program and meet weekly with the ELL Coordinator to review student notes, monitor progress and design instruction.  The tutor will be responsible for relaying any parent, teacher or administrator concerns with the ELL Coordinator.  With the support and supervision of the ELL coordinator, the ELL tutor will administer the ACCESS test during the designated testing period.  

Qualifications: BA or equivalent experience. Experience or desire to work with Elementary students on literacy and English language skills. Ability to follow lessons plans provided by the supervising ESL teacher. Attention to detail and record keeping. Comfort Google applications (Meet, docs, spreadsheets).
