The Johnson Elementary  School in Nahant is seeking substitute school nurses to provide coverage of school health office when permanent nursing staff are unavailable.

The substitute nurse will provide first aid to students pre-K through grade 6, and staff  in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts laws and the policiesand procedures of the school. RESPONSIBILITIES? Assess students daily visits, evaluate health status and provides care according to standard prodecure and following  student individualized health care plans.

Administers first-aid and emergency care. Demonstrates effective communication with students, staff members, and parents and able to maintain confidentiality.
