SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE TO COVER LEAVE OF ABSENCE -

Job Description:

Complete evaluations, write IEPs, progress reports
-
Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities including autism, and/or learning disabilities, and developmental delays/intellectual disability

Modify curriculum to grade level entry points as needed, implement functional curriculums
-
Direct instruction of reading, writing, and mathematics at the grade level entry points for grades 5-8
-
Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions
-
Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Social Thinking Curriculums, and Zones of Regulation required

Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills
-
Communication with parents
-
Coordinate services with special education staff
- Reports to Building Principal
Job Specifications:
- Master’s level required
- 3 years of experience preferred
- Moderate Disabilities or Intensive DESE certification in the required grade level (5-8)
