Swampscott Public Schools is seeking a Short Term Substitute - Special Education Teacher to work at the Hadley Elementary School. This position is short term, from approximately May 15, 2020 through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.  

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Masters degre preferred
• Certification in Wilson and/or LIPS preferred
• Complete evaluations, write IEP's, progress reports, attend IEP meetings
• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities, including learning disabilities
• Knowledge of utilizing structured, direct, sequential, systematic, multi-sensory instruction to teach decoding/encoding and phonemic awareness
• Knowledge of specialized mathematic instruction
• Effective communication with parents

The hours for this position are 8:10am - 2:25pm Monday through Friday.
