MATHEMATICS TEACHER - GRADE 7 - SWAMPSCOTT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Seeking a passionate and dynamic 7th-grade math teacher who thrives in a collaborative work environment and is driven to make a difference in the lives of our students both in and out of the classroom.

Teacher Responsibilities:

-Facilitate student learning of grade-level content and practice standards

-Work in collaboration with grade-level counterpart

-Use data to create specialized and targeted math intervention lessons in order to differentiate instruction

-Attend grade-level team meetings as well as department and regular school meetings

-Design and implement assessments that measure student knowledge on specific standards 

Teacher Skill Set:

-Experience/willingness to use a range of assessments to guide differentiated instruction

-Strong classroom management skills

-Strong knowledge of the Common Core MA Curriculum Frameworks for Mathematics

-Bachelor's degree required

-Massachusetts Teacher Certification/Licensure in Mathematics required.

Qualifications: 

DESE Certification:  Mathematics 5-8 or Middle School Math/Science
