Swampscott Public Schools is looking for a Part-time (.6) Elementary Music Teacher.

The new hire will teach grades K-4 at the new Swampscott Elementary School

General Music:

• Teach students the fundamental principles of music and musicianship skills based on Massachusetts Fine Arts Standards including singing, playing instruments, composing, improvising, and making cross-curricular connections.
• Teach students how to sing and play easily accessible instruments such as electric keyboards, drums, recorders, handbells, ukuleles, and xylophones.
• Use up-to-date software and websites to teach music.
• Teach choral music to Grade 3 and 4 students, including preparing and directing twice-annual concerts.
• Piano experience is a plus.
