The School Psychologist supports students at Swampscott High School with behavioral and emotional needs.
Job description:
- Complete evaluations, write IEPs and progress reports
- Lead groups and classroom lessons as needed
- Provide individual counseling and support to students/small groups of students
- Develop and maintain behavior plans
- Collaborate closely with all team members including inclusion specialists, other members of the Special Education team, general education teachers and administrators
- Communicate with parents/guardians and outside service providers
- Participate in Student Support Team
- As a member of the crisis response team, provides intervention as needed including supporting other psychologists in the district.
- Maintain accurate records of work
- All other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Other criteria:
- Knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies and the Zones of Regulation
- Familiar with MCAS implementation
- Flexibility/ability to juggle multiple demands
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
Job Requirements:
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a current Mass. DESE School Psychologist license
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Master degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
