Seeking a highly motivated person to take on the role as STEM Teacher at Swampscott High School. This position will have teaching responsibilities as well as coordinating responsibilities. We are seeking a dynamic educator who can help build a new career pathways program in advanced manufacturing/engineering/automation technology.
- Teach Science/Technology elective courses that focus on 21st-century skills, advanced manufacturing skills, engineering, and/or robotics.
- Develop and deliver STEM-oriented instruction (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through Project-Based Learning methods.
- Assist guidance and administration with the development of a new career pathways program related to advanced manufacturing, engineering, and robotics.
- Manage the Swampscott High School Senior project program and assist with industry internships.
- Manage the applications and multi-year requirements for students to achieve a STEM Certificate upon completion of their four years at SHS.
- Work with industry/post-secondary partners to help SHS career pathways students graduate with industry recognized certifications
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience with 3D printing, CAD, CAM, CNC, Arduinos, Vex
Required:
- Hold a current MA high school or vocational/technical teaching license in a related field
