Junior Custodian- District Wide – Swampscott Public Schools

Job description includes but is not limited to:

• Clean the route assigned to you by the Senior Custodian and perform any other duties deemed necessary.
• Perform major cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, wet-mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash, pencil sharpeners, cleaning chalkboards/dry erase boards and disinfecting drinking fountains.
• Clean restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: urinals, toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and counters). Ensure restrooms are clean and disinfected.
• Wash windows and sills (door glass).
• Ensure that all doors and windows are appropriately locked.
• Light Maintenance.
• Snow removal during winter months.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
• Must have basic computer knowledge 
• Must be willing to interact with and assist people in the building 

Pay will depend on union scale.
