SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – AUTISM SPECIALIST – HIGH SCHOOL

 

 

Job Description:

• Complete evaluations, write IEPs, progress reports
• Provide specialized instruction, modification of curriculum, and accommodations to students with autism
• Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions
• Knowledge of Social Thinking Curriculums, Zones of Regulation required
• Understanding of the Principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis
• Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills
• Provide instruction in functional academics and vocational learning
• Communication with parents and guardians
• BCBAs with moderate disabilities certification are encouraged to apply

 

Qualifications:

• Master’s level required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in required grade level
• BCBA license – preferred
