SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – AUTISM SPECIALIST – HIGH SCHOOL
Job Description:
- Complete evaluations, write IEPs, progress reports
- Provide specialized instruction, modification of curriculum, and accommodations to students with autism
- Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions
- Knowledge of Social Thinking Curriculums, Zones of Regulation required
- Understanding of the Principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis
- Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills
- Provide instruction in functional academics and vocational learning
- Communication with parents and guardians
- BCBAs with moderate disabilities certification are encouraged to apply
Qualifications:
- Master’s level required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in required grade level
- BCBA license – preferred
