DIGITAL LITERACY TEACHER
Swampscott Middle School is looking for a dynamic educator for our 5th-8th grade Digital Literacy classes.
We are looking for someone who will create a classroom environment that is engaging and encourages increased awareness, practice, and interest in technology. An effective teacher will leverage thoughtful approaches to teaching (e.g. Universal Design for Learning), and project-based learning experiences,
and will guide students toward mastery of curriculum standards.
Candidates should have experience in the following:
- Understand and be comfortable learning, teaching, and troubleshooting Scratch programming.
- Understand and be comfortable learning, teaching, and troubleshooting App Inventor programming.
- Have a comfortable understanding and use of G Suite, especially Google Classroom and
- related applications.
- Familiar with Mac OS and screen sharing capabilities to both a Promethean board and to
- student devices.
To be considered qualified for this position, candidates must have the following:
- DESE License or eligibility for Licensure in Instructional Technology or Elementary Education
- Working knowledge of GSuite for Education
